As part of India Couture Week, JJ Valaya presented a 60-piece collection ‘Muraqqa’ inspired by the cultural heritage of three cities: Istanbul, Isfahan, and Delhi. The courtier’s continuing fascination with Persian carpets, miniature paintings, Mughal inlays and the line dance of art deco was evident in the craftsmanship of custom woven silks and deep velvets.
