About This Game -
Assassin's Creed Chronicles is a series of 2.5D Assassin's Creed games. The series consists of three games, all of which are currently in development by Climax Studios and Ubisoft Montreal. They will be published by Ubisoft. The games feature new protagonists and a design that is new to the franchise, a 2.5D world inspired by traditional brush paintings. Originally, Chronicles: China was part of the season pass of Assassin's Creed Unity. In March 2015, Ubisoft announced that China will be accompanied by Chronicles: India and Chronicles: Russia.
Chronicles: China features the Chinese assassin Shao Jun in 1526, during the downfall of the Ming Dynasty. After being trained by legendary Italian assassin Ezio Auditore de Firenze, Shao Jun returns to her homeland to exact vengeance against the Templar group Eight Tigers, who wiped out the Chinese brotherhood. Shao Jun's quest took her through Macau, Nan'an, the Forbidden City and the Great Wall, as she killed the Tigers one by one and finally assassinating the final target, Zhang Yong. Years later, Shao Jun, who became an Assassin Mentor and had rebuilt the brotherhood, plotted the assassination of Jiajing Emperor by sending him an elixir of life.
Reportedly, a sketch of Shao Jun was the inspiration for the game, as well as the other Chronicles games, and the basis for the design of the world.
Chronicles: China was originally announced in September 2014 as part of the season pass for Assassin's Creed Unity. It was released on April 21, 2015, in North America and April 22, 2015, in other territories, on Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
Chronicles: India will feature Indian assassin Arbaaz Mir in 1841, while the Sikh Empire was at war with the East India Company. When a Master Templar arrives with a mysterious item that used to belong to the Assassin Order, Mir must discover why he’s come, steal back the item, and protect his friends and his lover.
Chronicles: Russia will feature the Russian assassin Nikolai Orelov in 1918, during the aftermath of the October Revolution. Orelov wants to leave with his family, but is required to perform one last mission for the Assassin Order: infiltrate the house where the tsar's family is being held by the Bolsheviks and steal an artifact that has been fought over by Assassins and Templars for centuries. Along the way, he witnesses the massacre of the tsar's children, but manages to save the princess, Anastasia. He must escape the Templars while protecting the artifact and Anastasia.
Both games are set to be released before the end of 2015 on Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
Assassin’s Creed Chronicles: China takes place in China, 1526, as the Ming dynasty starts to crumble. You embody Shao Jun, the last remaining Assassin of the Chinese Brotherhood, returning to her homeland with a vendetta. Newly trained by the legendary Ezio Auditore, she is hell-bent on exacting vengeance and restoring her fallen Brotherhood.
The game follows Shao Jun, who is the last remaining Assassin of the Chinese Brotherhood, during her return to China in 1526, as the Ming dynasty starts to crumble and two years after the events of the short film Assassin's Creed: Embers. Strengthened by her meeting with Ezio Auditore da Firenze and armed with her stealth and combat skills, Shao Jun goes on a quest for vengeance against the Templars and to restore her fallen Brotherhood.
As part of the Assassin's Creed Chronicles series, the game differs stylistically from most previous entries in the franchise, being set on 2.5D plane like Assassin's Creed II: Discovery. It was announced by Ubisoft that Assassin's Creed Chronicles: China would be the first part in the Chronicles trilogy, followed by games in India and Russia
Assassin's Creed Chronicles: Russia is an upcoming downloadable video game available for the Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC.
The game follows Nikolai Orelov in Russia, 1918, in events taking places between Assassin's Creed: The Fall and Assassin's Creed: The Chain as Orelov tried to leave the country with his family. As a final assignment for the Assassin Order before his departure, Nikolai must steal an artifact from the Bolsheviks holding the Tsar's family. In the midst of the theft, Nikolai witnessed the murder of most of Nicholas' children. Nikolai saved the princess, Anastasia, and must protect her, and the artifact, from the Templars.
