It sounds like this is not related to HIV. If your fourth generation HIV test which is another name for an antigen and antibody combined test is negative it is very unlikely that you haven’t any infection. The causes for prickly rashes on the back could be multiple. Including allergy, heat rash, insect or other bites or even a drug related condition. But it does not sound that this is related to HIV. Most of the HIV screening tests i.e. the ELISA test or the fourth generation test or the viral load test which are used in some instances, these are all extremely sensitive and specific tests. Most of them the sensitivity and specificity is more than 97%.
