HOW TO PAINT A BLUEBIRD-using the NEW YInMn blue with Suzanne Barrett Justis
I had to see what all the hype was about with the new YInMn blue pigment, the newest artist pigment in over 200 years ! So what better subject to paint than an Eastern Bluebird ? So in this video, I will be telling you a little about the YInMN BLUE while i demonstrate the painting of the bluebird
I am painting this alla prima piece on a smooth gessoed panel and using a very direct method of painting.
This step by step, easy to follow time lapsed painting tutorial is perfect for the beginner painter as well as advanced
Painters.
generally use Rosemary and Company paint brushes and will include the link here for your consideration

one of the brush I used for the most was a Synthetic Shiraz pointed round or rigger, I will also leave you the link to the brush here. It is a very versatile brush, and you can see that if was able to do everything I asked of it in this painting tutorial

I also used several of the Eclipse long Filberts of various sizes, you can find them here
