Žanamari Lalić is a Croatian rock musician and singer-songwriter who is a lead vocalist and primary songwriter for the band ŽANAMARI & J'ANIMALS, also known as the winner of the first Croatian Pop Idol (2005). The song "Treba mi snage za kraj" was the first song she ever recorded as a part of the agreement with "Croatian Pop Idol". Her assignment was to interpret this song in the grand finale. Her first album "Žanamari" (2005) and a Maxi single CD "Crni leptire" (2009), released by a major label Croatia Records, was also an outcome of the Pop Idol contract. After that contract expired Žanamari has finally gotten an opportunity to publish her own songs, and do it her way!
Throughout the process of songwriting and creating a new, more alternative rock sound for the next album, Žanamari has gathered a new energetic, unrestrained rock'n'roll crew - ŽANAMARI & J'ANIMALS. The band got its name from Žanamari's pseudonym J'Animale, and it's members are Gordan Dragić (guitars), Emil Kranjčić (drums), Tomislav Franjo Šušak (bass) and Dario Bulatović (guitars).
Their Croatian debut album DRUGA VRSTA was released by Croatia Records in November 2011. The album spawned 5 singles, including hit singles Kreten pomalo, Nije Napola and Krugovi. The current single off the record is Dijagnoza, promoted at the CMC Festival in June of 2012. Meanwhile they are working on their new material in both Croatian and English. Tears Of The Dragon is the first cover (Bruce Dickinson) they've recorded.
