How to Make Glowing 3D Jelly Cakes - ...
This was just my first attempt at making these amazing jelly cakes, so a couple of things went wrong! I realised at the end that I should not have the nozzle on the syringe when trying to get the mixture into it! And I just could not get them out of the bowls without the jelly breaking!!! If anyone has any tips for getting them out I would very much appreciate it!
Recipe:
Ingredients:
125ml water
2tbsp gelatin powder
500ml water
150g sugar
flavouring
67½ml water
1tsbp gelatin powder
200g sweetened condensed milk
50ml double cream
Food colouring
Directions:
Mix the first gelatin and water together and allow to absorb.
In a saucepan heat the water, sugar and flavouring until almost simmering.
Mix the gelatin into the hot water and stir until dissolved.
Pour into bowls and place in the fridge to set. I found that they needed at least 3 hours.
Mix the second gelatin powder with the second water.
In a saucepan mix the sweetened condensed milk and cream until almost simmering. Mix the gelatin mixture into the hot milk and stir until all dissolved.
Pour into a few different dishes and colour the mixture.
Once piped into the jelly, place in the fridge to set again!
