--- The rest of this video is based around trying this simple method, but the issue returns once trying to change the aura configurations. -- This is Highly successful with Strix based boards like the Strix Z270 or H270.
Before any uninstall, make sure all of the services for Aura are stopped and removed using the following method. You need to completely uninstall and kill all services.
Method for Windows 10 - Ctrl+Alt+del, Task Manager, click "services" tab. If you are on Windows 7, then go to "Start" and type "Services.msc", then press enter to open Services list. look for "AsLedService", right click on it and click "Stop". Do the same for any other Aura based service under "Description" and do the same on those. For example "AsROGAuraService" may also be there. Stop any with Aura or LED in the description. also in Task Manager, make sure the aura has been shut down under the "Processes" Tab. Right click Aura (Yours may be "LED" in processes list) Right click and "End Task"
Then uninstal normally using either default uninstal programs the is windows default or use what I recommend - CCleaner - https://www.piriform.com/ccleaner/dow...
uninstal using CCleaner as well as run Registry clean. Reboot Computer and then follow the video instructions.
Failing that, you can try a stand alone Aura for Windows 10 64bit - http://dlcdnet.asus.com/pub/ASUS/misc...
This is a method to solve Aura lighting system on many new Strix motherboards. Some of the faults are locked up unresponsive lighting or a strobe flicker when you try and select a setting in Aura as I have shown at the start of the video.
Hopefully this method will work for others just as it has for me.
I am not seasoned when it comes to making videos, so please excuse the amateur feel, the main thing is I want to help others by showing a video of this fix for many others out there who are super frustrated with Aura not working properly.
