F W Taylor's scientific principles of management

F. W. Taylor's scientific principles of management are a set of guidelines for increasing efficiency and productivity in the workplace. These principles were developed by Frederick Winslow Taylor, an American engineer and management consultant who is considered to be the father of scientific management. Taylor's principles are as follows:

Develop a science for each element of an individual's work, which will replace the old rule-of-thumb method.

Scientifically select, train, and develop the worker.

Cooperate with the workers to ensure that the scientifically developed methods are being followed.

Divide work nearly equally between managers and workers, so that the managers apply scientific management principles to planning the work and the workers actually perform the tasks.

Use time and motion study to determine the most efficient way to perform each task.

Use functional foremanship to ensure that the tasks are performed efficiently.

Use standardization of tools, methods, and processes to ensure consistency.

Use an appropriate level of centralization to ensure that decision-making is efficient.

Use the scientific method to continuously improve processes and increase efficiency.

These principles are still widely studied and discussed in the field of management and are considered to be an important foundation for modern management practices. They are often taught in management courses at the high school and college level
