The area features close up views of the powerful mountains surrounding Gunma’s cities. The powerful mountains are also the reason that Gunma’s Kusatsu, Hot Springs area is one of Japan’s most magnificent places to bath. And the powerful wind that blows down from the mountains helps raise one of the most robust wheat crops in Japan, helping both Udon and Pasta chefs create hearty noodles.
