Today, our 2005 Toyota Sienna, were installing the Airlift 1000 air helper spring. Part number AL60732. First, were going to go ahead and check our right high with the manufactures or current suspension. Next, well go ahead and run it through our test course. As you can see we have some rear setting and as we go through our obstacle course, theres a lot of body roll and we lose a lot of steering control and or feel. Next, well go over the bump scores.

As you can see theres a lot of jounce and rebound because of the excess weight and the inability to handle that weight. Now well go ahead and add 35 pounds of pressure to our airlift system. Now, as you can see it brings the right high back to 29 inches. Now lets go ahead and run it through our test course again. With the airlift system air duct, it brings the right high back up and our steering field back and helps control the body roll as we go through our obstacle course. Then over the bumps, you can feel more control and less bounce to the rear of the vehicle.

Were going to install, well first we need to take the weight off of the rear suspension. To do that, were going to jack up the rear of the vehicle and allow the rear axle to hang down. The more we can allow the axle hanging down, the more space well get between the coil springs and can make the installation a little easier. Gain more space here between the coil. Next we need to take our air bag, remove the top cap off the barb fitting, squeeze all the air out of the air bag and then well reinstall the cap and push it into the coil. Now as we install the air bag, well make sure our barb fitting is facing up, go through the hole of the spring seat and now the top.

Once we have the spring in place, well go ahead and remove the cap and allow it to reform. Sometimes it may be necessary to give our bag a little assistance to reform. When doing that, what we can use is our airline blowing air into the bag and pushing it back out into its original form. Also note that well need to put the protector block in place to protect the barb fitting. Our line will come down through the top of the air spring then through the protector block and then on to the barb fitting. Note, at each one of the airline connection points well also have a small squeeze clamp.

The clamp will fit over the end of the hose and down over at the barb fitting or barb portion of our fitting. Now once Ive got my air fitting lined up, well go ahead and just push the line over top of the fitting. Then once weve got the hose pushed all the way down over top of the barb fitting, well go ahead and put our clamp in place. Now well go ahead and take the spacer, put it down over the top of the air fitting, let it rest into place. Next, well take our airline and go ahead and route it towards the rear of the vehicle where well be bounding it to the hitch. Now, on the drivers side weve completed the install of our airline on to the air bag and put our protective spacing black in place. Weve just temporarily run the airline towards the rear of the vehicle. Next, Im going to move over to the passenger side and repeat the same process. Were going to be using the airlift, air hose cutter, part numb AL10530. Using our tubing cutter, we can get a clean, clear cut on our hose or line.Alright, now well go ahead and use some zip ties to secure our line. Keep in mind, when routing and securing the line, just stay away from moving components, and just steering and suspension or excessity 04:53 so to the exhaust. Here on the drivers side, the lines come together. We dont have any place to zip tie the line off to, so were going to use the red line, metal half-inch moon clamp which will go around the line and then well use a self-tapper to secure it. Im going to use 2 for this application. Now we have a line for each side, ran out the back of the vehicle.Well need to create a mount for our air fittings. Were going to be using the tow-ready universal mounting bracket part number 18140. The bracket is designed to work with hitch wiring. However, we can go ahead and turn it over, use the Warmbier clamp and secure it directly to the hitch. Now with the clamp tighten down, well go ahead and remove the excess from the clamp. Were just going to use a small cut off wheel. You can also use a pair of side cutters of tin snips. Just want to be very careful after you cut it off as the corners can be very sharp. Using the perevial 06:40 holes as a bracket of the template, were going to go ahead and enlarge them to 5/16 as per the instructions. Now well go ahead and route the line through the bracket so that we can get the length of our
