Contactors

In this video contactor and types of contactor is shown. Contactor is a switchgear used in three phase circuits. Principle of contactor is electromagnetic induction and mechanically throw. Whenever electrically supply is given to coil of contactor at terminals A1 and A2, it is actuated and became electromagnet. After this the contacts in contactor will change their positions i.e. NO will become Close and NC will become  Open. NC stands for Normally Close and NO stands for Normally Open.
There are three types of contactors
1. Power Contactor
2. Auxiliary Contactor
3. Power+Auxiliary Contactor
The working of all three types of contactor is same as explained above.
