Here is a checklist of what should be verified or tested before buying a hybrid. Some checks are more related to the e-tron series but can also be applied to other cars.
Other stuff to check :
Check things you would normally do for a normal car + some other things you could do if you can :
1) Ask that the battery is fully charged before you go.
2) Look that you have all the battery bars filled up on the screen
3) Check the EV range (should be between 38 and 42 KM)
4) Try to make a 5 KM trip in EV without any kind of accessory (ex : no ventilation). After those 5 real KM, check how many KM you lost in the EV range
5) Try to do that on a plane road
6) Try to go on a high speed road max at 125 KM in EV. It HAS to stay in EV
7) Try to make a full acceleration in EV to check that the needle goes to 100% power and that you don't have strange noise or behavior with the gears
8) For the combined engine power test (you have to have the fuel engine on), go onto a medium speed road (let's say limited to 80 KM/H), go to manual, engage the last gear (6), go to the end of the accelerator pedal (without touching the button at the end of the course of the pedal). If it's ok, the needle should go at the end of the boost
9) When you get back at the end of the test drive, ask if you can put yourself the car to charge. Check if the charging light goes from orange to green.
10) Verify the state of the cables and charger.
11) if you have the stationary heater, ask them to put it on (the car should not be in charge for this test). it should get hot or cold (depending on the temperature you put) after around 5-10 minutes (some ppl had problems with this feature) I have 2 other videos about this auxiliary heater.
12) Ask them for the battery capacity level. Usually they lose between 1 to 3% of capacity / year
