Learning to write in a new language requires a substantial amount of practice at first. Later, we need to carefully guide children towards developing writing competencies at sentence level and above, so that they become fully literate. Drawing on ideas from Dr Puchta’s course book Super Minds, he will look at key principles and some practical suggestions about how you can get children to develop their writing discourse skills in meaningful and enjoyable ways.
