Did you know that the last execution of the Second World War actually took place over 40 years after the conflicted had come to an end? Feodor Fedorenko was a Soviet soldier who was captured and then became a Trawniki man and an executioner for the German Army. His actions resulted in the executions and deaths of thousands as he worked at sites such as Treblinka Extermination Camp. He was also part of firing squads who executed civilians inside of the Soviet Union.

Feodor Fedorenko at the end of the war managed to escape capture and he even moved to America where he was discovered. A trial in American proved very little, but he was then extradited to the Soviet Union and he was tried again and was sentenced to death. He was executed by a firing squad in 1987 for his conduct during World War 2.
