AutoCAD 2021: Line weight vs Line width

Line weight is for [line tool], [arc tool], [circle tool], [ellipse tool]
Line width is for [polyline tool], [rectangle tool], [polygon tool] (when [line tool] is used to drow polyline, [join] command have to be used)
