In this video we cover a production planning and optimization problem where we try to determine the best production lot sizes to minimize the total setup and inventory costs. We use the Excel solver to determine the best lot sizes.
In the follow up videos we are going to implement a Silver-Meal heuristic, first manually and then using VBA on the same problem type. Stay tune!
