The Canal Boat Lift Failures on the Grand Western Canal.

We recently visited the beautiful Grand Western Canal and became a little fascinated by the Boat Lifts designed by James Green. In fact he built 7 of them along here and an incline plane. Much of this was a failure, largely compounded by the coming of the railways. In this episode we take a look at the Nynehead Lift and discuss its failings.
