J.J. Abrams Doesn't Know How To Tell A Story

JJ Abrams has rebooted a lot of iconic franchises (Star Wars, Star Trek, ...those are the big ones...). And while they always look cool, sometimes it feels like he is sacrificing his own story in the name of spectacle. I mean apparently he told Chris Pine on the set of Star Trek, "No one cares what you're saying, they just wanna know something is happening". So lets dig in to that.
