Different Tobaccos from Around The World | Can You Tell from the Looks? Part 1 of 2
In this video, we will be discussing if it is possible to tell what tobacco it is and where it is from, the color. You have to be around tobacco a lot, there are many types that are very similar and it is not easy to say exactly which country it comes from. We will also discuss how tobacco is grown differently and why each one has it’s benefits. The US tobacco varies because of the different states, and it is all to do with the soil, the better the soil, the more nutrients for the plants.
The weather and atmosphere plays a huge role, depending on the heat, sun hours, rain and wind. The seed is the first and foremost key factor, closely followed by the soil. Then the weather conditions. In Ecuador for example, the sun is not like the one in the Dominican Republic, where it is stronger.
Connecticut US tobacco is very popular in the US and demand is high. This is another key point, if tobacco is rushed during the growing process it ruins the look and taste. When it is grown fully, it has a bit of spice to it. Ernesto will compare the big and well known brands, he will discuss the taste, strength and look.
