In the 1980s a string of violent and fatal bank robberies led to an extensive eight month investigation after the culprits. An attempted apprehension of the suspects resulted in the 1986 Miami Shootout, the deadliest firefight in the history of the FBI. The FBI Files is an American television docudrama series. Each episode describes actual FBI cases which include murder, narcotics, bank robberies, and kidnapping as well as other crimes. These are portrayed through dramatic reenactments and interviews with agents and forensic scientists who worked on the investigations.
