In May of 2002, World
In May of 2002, World Wrestling Entertainment was going another creative change, as the company dropped its "attitude" in favor of some "ruthless aggression". On top of this, the drop in ratings and loss of top attractions such as The Rock or Stone Cold forced them to experiment with pushing new stars and experimenting with new gimmicks and concepts.
During this massive change, there was once again a change in the company's weekend programming, including the introduction of a whole new program known as WWE Confidential. This show was focused on giving fans a behind-the-scenes look at their favorite superstars, discuss the history of sports-entertainment and dig into the more controversial topics that affected WWE.
This is the story of how and why Confidential became one of the most unique and memorable shows the company has ever produced.
