Teaching Your Horse to Stop Off Your Seat...Again!

We covered this subject a few years ago on a bay mare but we thought we would revisit it with Cinder. He's a 6 year old horse from Baja that had been ridden in a tie down. Pat wants the horse to learn to tune in to his rider's seat rather than relying on pulling on the reins. This doesn't mean that you ride with a big loop in your rein all the time. The horse still has to learn to carry himself in collection. But this exercise is the foundation of everything else we teach horses that have been ridden for miles and whose riders rarely used their bodies to communicate with their horses.
