Follow me step by step whilst I build this versatile juice groove jig. The last jig that you will need for cutting perfect juice grooves with your router every time. Quick and easy to adjust. If you would like the plans for this jig you can email me at [email protected]. The distance that the juice groove sits from the sides can also be adjusted very easily. The idea of this jig was initiated by King's fine woodworking. I will also show you how to make your own tap for tapping screw thread into soft and hardwood. This jig is also adjustable on how far should the groove be from the edge of the board.

The router that I am using is a Makita 710 watt palm router. A very compact machine with a big punch.
The T-tracks were purchased from Hardware Centre in Randburg and the bolts and nuts were purchased from Boltfast.
Rough sanding was done with my Makita 9401 belt sander using 60 and 120 grid sandpaper.
The finishing sanding was done with mt Bosch GEX 125 industrial sander with 240 grid sandpaper.

The final finishing is done with Watco danish oil.
The router bit that I tested this jig with is from Pro-Tech router bits.
The base of the jig was built with poplar and glued with Alcolin cold glue
The router jig fences are constructed out of Rhodesian teak. This gives a very hard and durable surface that can take a lot of punishment.
