I used food processor, but you could use a stand mixer. Either way it is super-fast and super easy to make Butter, Buttermilk & Ghee. Perfect Homemade Butter, Buttermilk & Ghee!
Welcome to my channel!
Today I will show you how to make homemade buttermilk, butter and ghee (clarified butter) with only 1 ingredient!
Heavy/Double Cream ( 2 cups or 500 ml)
Add in a food processor
Blend for 3-4 minutes or until butter & buttermilk are separated
Whipped cream stage!
Not READY yet!
Keep blending!
Butter & Buttermilk are separated
Butter -Thick & Rich!
Separate buttermilk
Buttermilk is ready!
Can be used for making cakes, bread & biscuits or to marinate chicken
Yields 250 ml
Put butter in chilled water
Rinse well in order to remove buttermilk
Press to squeeze out water completely
Shape the butter
If you wants to add salt in your butter
Add just before shaping it
Place in refrigerator to set
Butter hardens!
Perfect Homemade Butter is ready!
Yields 250 g
To Prepare Ghee...
Put a pan over a medium heat
add...
Prepared Butter (250 g)
Melt the butter
Now boil for 2-3 minutes or until it turns golden brown
Ghee (clarified butter) is ready!
Turn off the flame
Cool slightly and filtered out milk solids
Yield ~225 g
