This paper presents BBCA-LEDGER, a Byzantine fault tolerant log replication technology for partially synchronous networks that enables reaching fast consensus on a total order of transactions while allowing parallel, non-blocking transaction dissemination. The core of BBCA-LEDGERis a novel primitive called BBCA, a consistent broadcast enhanced with unique sequence numbering enforcement. In steady state, BBCA ensures that a transaction can be committed with low latency, in just 3 network steps. Under network partitions or faults, a direct acyclic graph (DAG) formed by BBCA is employed as a fallback mechanism, retaining utility of accumulating parallel broadcasts and committing them via the DAG.
