TIPS ON HAND-POLISHING ROCK - JASPER

Tips and tricks for hand polishing rocks using increasingly fine grits of sandpaper.  A slice of jasper BIF (banded iron formation) is used as the example.  There were some flaws in this particular stone that could not be buffed out.  As such, I learned something too - If they break easily in the tile saw or while sanding, they probably have internal fractures.
