Quick build and ride (45MPH!) of this 3000W carbon frame custom ebike build!

This was my 5th ebike build and I ran into a few issues while installing as at the time I lacked the experience, but that's why I do this!
I've gotten some flack for using frames and bikes from Walmart, criticisms such as the frame will be cheaply made and fall apart, or can't handle the power of electrification, but I completely disagree. I've done enough of these builds now to know the truth and you can have a quality bike that goes very fast for not a ton of cash. You don't need a frame made of beryllium and ceramic brakes to have fun or even a nice bike.

I'll detail all the steps I took to convert this regular downhill MTB carbon frame to a very fast electric bike. It may not exactly be a how-to but it should give you enough of an idea on how to make your own!

The most troublesome part of any hub motor build is affixing the rear hub, especially if it's a frame you're not familiar with, getting all your washers and spacers and having more components you need to line up (like disc brakes) can add to the challenge. As long as you can tighten everything down and it still turns smoothly, then you're golden.

This is a 2000W base kit with the upgraded controller (50A) which pushes it to 3000W+ (it's more like 3500W) other upgrades are the very nice full color IPS display for odometer, speedometer, and more. This package is my favorite for 72V systems, pieced together with a very large 20Ah triangle battery with a super convenient velcro bag allows for easy installation and fits a wire array of frames.

Much more e-bike builds and more coming up on the channel, stay tuned!

\\ 3000W Carbon E-bike V5.0 \\

After huge success with my BMX build, I decided to try this drive train out on a larger frame (26") I figured it would be just as fast, maybe even more and I wasn't disappointed.

1. The Frame
Walmart "Hyper" brand 26" downhill mountain bike. This is a relatively cheap carbon bike (I believe it was $600 new) it made for a great electric bike platform and I was happy to know that it could handle all of this power.

2. The Battery
72V (84V really fully charged) 20Ah triangle pack

3. The Controller
Custom 50A with UKC1 IPS display

4. The Motor
2000W "base" kit, but can push much more power (currently handling 3500W+)
