3 Easy Ways To Test A VVT Solenoid

A quick video showing three easy ways to test a Volvo VVT solenoid to make sure the coil is not burned out.

Testing is recommended before installing a salvaged VVT solenoid. Believe me, I pulled a unit off a wrecked car and installed it without checking. Then I had to do it all over again because the coil was bad on the salvaged part!

The VVT solenoids in this video came off a 2000 Volvo V70 but the tests shown will work for VVT solenoids found on other car makes.
