PT// O Palácio Nacional de Mafra é um monumento histórico situado na vila de Mafra. É um dos mais importantes exemplos de arquitetura barroca em Portugal e foi construído durante o reinado de D. João V, no século XVIII.
O palácio é composto por um impressionante conjunto de edifícios, incluindo uma basílica, um convento e uma biblioteca, além de belos jardins e pátios. É famoso por sua impressionante fachada de pedra, com mais de 230 estátuas, e pela sua biblioteca, que abriga mais de 36.000 livros raros e manuscritos.
O interior do palácio é igualmente impressionante, com salões luxuosamente decorados com móveis de época, pinturas e tapeçarias.
EN// The National Palace of Mafra is a historic monument located in the town of Mafra, Portugal. It is one of the most important examples of Baroque architecture in Portugal and was built during the reign of King João V in the 18th century.
The palace is composed of an impressive set of buildings, including a basilica, a convent, and a library, as well as beautiful gardens and courtyards. It is famous for its impressive stone facade, with over 230 statues, and for its library, which houses more than 36,000 rare books and manuscripts.
