In this beginners’ tutorial, Rich describes the first steps to getting Melodyne instantiated on a track in Pro Tools. He advises on the best placement of the plug-in and goes into detail about how Melodyne behaves as a plug-in. He then goes on to show how to transfer audio in and how audio that has not been transferred in will still play through the plug-in. Rich then illustrates how to put Melodyne on multiple tracks and transfer all of the audio at once. Finally, Rich discusses the algorithms available in Melodyne essential, when to use each one, and how to change to a different algorithm.
