Updates to COVID 19 quarantine protocols

To cope with the increase in COVID-19 case numbers, simple, scalable quarantine methods will be implemented:

1. Home quarantine for household members of infected cases
2. A quarantine period of 10 days, instead of 14 days, based on the shorter incubation period of the Delta variant
3. Earlier discharge at Day 7 for fully vaccinated patients, if tested negative or CT above 25.

Minister for Health Ong Ye Kung gave these updates at a Multi-Ministry Taskforce press conference on 10 September 2021.
