Hello dears,
this cake just screams "HAPPY BIIIRTHDAAAY"!
I baked my own birthday cake. The best part about that is that I got to choose the flavor. Since I love white chocolate more than anything, I whipped up a delicious White Chocolate Frosting combined with a delicious vanilla sponge and a apricot-/tangerine filling. A dream!

Ingredients for the sponge cake:
I divided the batter into two 22cm cake tins.
In case you bake one after the other, prepare one half of the batter first then the other half after baking so the baking powder doesn't lose its effect during the "waiting period".

Ingredients:
• 6 egg yolks
• 6 egg whites
• 150 g of flour
• 1 tsp of baking powder
• a pinch of salt
• 200 g of sugar
• 50 g of starch
• 1 tbsp of vanilla extract or one packet of vanilla sugar

For the White Chocolate Frosting/filling:
• 400 g of white couverture
• 150 ml of whipping cream
• 500 g of butter, room temperature
• 80 g of powdered sugar

For the filling:
• 200 g of apricot jam
• 2 cans of tangerines (around 350g)

For the drip:
• 200 g of white couverture
• 100 ml of whipping cream
• a knife tip of gel food coloring
