Facial paralysis depends on the paralysis of the nerve that comes to our face. This is the 7th cranial nerve. On the forehead, the nerve that provides our tiny movements that provides our facial movements and our mouth and eye movements is affected. It usually appears unilaterally. Among the reasons, there is a structure of the nerve that comes from the brain, passes through the ear and scatters on our face anatomically. Problems in both the brain and the ear cause this nerve to be affected and may result in the loss of movement of the facial muscles due to the dysfunction of the nerve that innervates the facial muscles.
