Chemical Thermodynamics 2.12 - System Partition Function

Short physical chemistry lecture on the partition functions of systems with many particles.

For a system of non-interacting particles, the total partition function is a product of the partition function for all individual particles. For indistinguishable particles, this equation over-counts the number of state by N factorial.
