Bitter gourd is very much an acquired taste. As the name states, it is bitter and not just a bit. If you select gourds that have a greater distance between the bumps on the skin, they tend to be a bit less bitter but be warned, this dish isn't for the faint hearted.

INGREDIENTS
1 Bitter gourd
5 cloves Garlic
4 Banana prawns
1 Tsp Sugar
2 Tbsp Cooking oil
1/5 Prawn stock cube
1 Onion
1 cm Minced ginger
1 Tsp Fermented soya bean paste
1/4 Tsp Salt

Prep time : 10 min
Cooking time : 15 min
Serves : 2-3
