The repair we're looking at is the loss of drive -- and in this case, what we have is a damaged drive unit. If you notice, the drive unit will not rotate.
So, what we've done -- we've ordered a new drive unit. When you order the new drive unit, in the kit will come instructions, 4 new screws, the new belt and a complete unit. Always check to make sure that the unit does spin freely. And, we're going to change this unit out with the correct unit.
We're going to start with a T-25 Torx and remove the screws. Once the 4 screws have been removed, the unit will then move and then release from the cradle. Release the arms. Remove the unit and the belt. When reinstalling, make sure that the speed screw is on the outside. Make sure that the arms snap into the cradle. When reassembling the screws, we're going to use blue Loctite -- just a dab. We're going to torque the screws to 2.5 ft-lbs. You want to make sure that the wheel spins freely.
