HIS HIGHNESS SHEIKH HAMDAN BIN MOHAMMED BIN RASHID AL MAKTOUM CAMEL RACES FESTIVAL.
THIRD EDITION.
The Dubai Camel Racing Club ( DCRC) is organizing the Third Edition of His Highness Sheikh Hamdan Bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Pure-Bred Arabian Camels Races Festival, which is organized under the Directive of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, and under the generous patronage of His Highness Sheikh Hamdan Bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, Chairman of the Dubai Executive Council of Dubai Government and Chairman of Dubai Sports Council, and the close follow up of His Highness Sheikh Ahmad Bin Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, President of the UAE National Olympic Committee, Chairman of The Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Knowledge Foundation and Chairman of the DCRC, from 02 to 12 February 2020 at Al Marmoum Smart Camel Racing Track.
By launching this unique and unparalleled heritage festival in its third edition, His Highness Sheikh Hamdan has reiterated his commitment to promoting the time-honored Arab sport of camel racing. This Festival which aspires to preserve the cultural heritage of Dubai, and the UAE as a whole, seeks to safeguard the popular heritage, of which UAE citizens are still proud.
PARTICIPANTS AND PRIZES…
The ten-day activities will witness various camels’ categories, Haqaqa , , Laqaiya , Jatha’a’ ,Thanaiya and Haul &Zumool compete in 323 laps a total of 116 laps for camels owned by Sheikhs with a further 209 laps races allocated for camels owned by tribesmen to vie for huge in-kind prizes in addition to the record prize money, winning owners will receive the keys to 183 luxury 4 Wheel Drive Vehicles, 08 trophies 08 rifles, 2 daggers and His High Highness Crown Prince of Dubai’s 2 sword.
