As a youngling, few things enamored me the way that the Jedi of Star Wars did. I remember being awestruck by the Jedi, their skills, abilities, and knowledge of the force, and their lightsabers whenever watching Star Wars. Watching Luke, Obi-Wan, and Yoda in A New Hope, The Empire Strikes Back, and Return of the Jedi never failed to fill me with a sense of joy and wonder. Likewise, getting to see the Jedi Order for the first time in The Phantom Menace, as well as in Attack of the Clones and Revenge of the Sith, was truly special. Getting a chance to see how the Jedi Order operated, how a Jedi master and their Padawan worked together, and how the Jedi council worked and governed the Jedi Order was marvelous. Additionally, getting an even closer look at the Jedi during the days of the Clone Wars in The Clone Wars animated series further hammered home just how cool Jedi are. Seeing the Jedi Order nearly wiped out in Revenge of the Sith, as well as witnessing Order 66 take place in The Clone Wars, Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order, and other Star Wars media, always feels like a gut punch. Conversely, knowing that Luke Skywalker and Rey continued to carry the Jedi torch to usher in a new age of the Jedi and the Jedi Order. Likewise, exploring the Jedi and the Jedi Order during the days of The High Republic has been enthralling, exciting, and fascinating. Seeing Jedi Knights and the Jedi Order operating during a period when they're at their zenith and their best has already been wonderful and just as much fun as I would've expected. This is all to say that the Jedi and the Jedi Order are just dope as hell. How can you not be enamored by an order of space wizards that wield laser swords? In the words of Obi-Wan Kenobi in A New Hope, "For over a thousand generations, the Jedi knights were the guardians of peace and justice in the old Republic." The Jedi of the High Republic are saw them at their zenith, when the Jedi worked alongside the Galactic Republic to bring the Outer Rim Territories into the Galactic Fold. Star Wars: The High Republic is here and Star Wars fans have been able to dive head first into this brand new era of the Star Wars timeline, exploring awesome stories, events, and interesting characters of the High Republic era. Ushering in this new era of the Star Wars Galaxy, Star Wars fans can now experience The High Republic in Charles Soule's Light of the Jedi, Claudia Gray's Into the Dark, Justina Ireland's A Test of Courage, and Cavan Scott's Star Wars: The High Republic comic series. This era has introduced Star Wars fans to Jedi Avar Kriss., Sskeer, Reath Silas, Orla Jareni, Keeve Trennis, and Vernestra Rwoh. Although, she left the Jedi Order, Ahsoka Tano is one of my favorite Jedi throughout Star Wars. She's appeared in The Clone Wars and for Disney+ Star Wars: The Mandalorian Season 2 Episode 5, Chapter 13: The Jedi. The 2nd Season of The Mandalorian series, which stars Pedro Pascal, is on Disney+ . The episodes are written by Jon Favreau and directed by Jon Favreau, Rick Famuyiwa, Dave Filoni, Bryce Dallas Howard, Peyton Reed, Robert Rodriguez, and Carl Weathers, to name a few.
