In this video, I have unboxed the newly launched Jio Air Fiber.
See the Air Fiber unboxing and get to know some important aspects of this device.
Some info that I got so far reg the #JioAirFiber
1. The router is pretty expensive (₹25,000, being brought from Taiwan for now) - as per the person who arrived at my place
2. It's not completely portable, it's not like one will be able to pick it up from the living room and take it to the bedroom whenever needed. The connection will more or less be like a standard router connection, so fixed in a way
3. The range of the router, however, is claimed to be much more than standard routers (will test and confirm)
4. There will be a SIM bundled in the pack, you can't (in other words, you don't have to) use your own SIM or buy a separate SIM
5. In most places, the deliveries will happen around October 1 (but if you can request them, you might be able to get the device earlier)
6. It's not a plug-and-play process, they will take around 2 hours to set things up for you.
7. If you pay straight up for 1 year, you don't have to pay the ₹1,000 refundable amount. You can also convert this into EMI and you still don't have to pay the ₹1,000
8. It supports Wi-Fi 6, and they are heavily inclined towards telling the potential consumer about its benefits with the #iPhone15ProMax or the #iPhone15 series in general.
