Understand how to use active trader on TD Ameritrade ThinkorSwim platform.
Active Trader is essentially a depth of market which displays passive buyers and passive sellers who are sitting on the market waiting for their order to be filled. It is the order book or what's known as level 2 but displayed on a vertical access which also enables volume to be displayed by PRICE.
On Active Trader, you also can passively enter the market or aggressively hit the market for faster order executions. With one click of a button, you can add or remove liquidity to and from the market.
Active Trader is a great tool and this video will explain it very well and will also introduce briefly the auction process of the stock market.
