Storm Eunice at Marine Point - Part One - New Brighton - Wirral - 18th February 2022

I managed to find a concrete wall behind which I took this footage of Storm Eunice at Marine Point in New Brighton, Wirral. The sight and sounds as shown here speak for themselves about the ferocity and violence of the wind and waves. The raw power of nature was on display. It wasn't a particularly hight tide for the River Mersey but the storm surge made it higher by about half a metre or so. The Coast Guard was on hand to keep people safe and away from the force of the sea though sadly, there were people around who knew better.
