GoldenDoodle's have quickly become America's new favorite breed! People love the joyful, playful, comical nature of this breed. The GoldenDoodle is not only the perfect fun-loving, obedient, highly intelligent choice in a four legged friend, but their coat is often hypoallergenic! But don't mistake hypoallergenic for low maintenance. The GoldenDoodle coat requires many hours of brushing and bathing to prevent the coat from becoming matted or damaged.
My expertise and knowledge of the GoldenDoodle and can help you maintain your beautiful GoldenDoodle at home between trips to the groomer. As a professional dog groomer, Unfortunately I have all to often seen this stunning breed brought into be groomed a few weeks too late. Once the coat becomes too matted and damaged there is just no other choice but to shave the coat and start again. De-matting can be painful if the coat has become pelted or just too far gone. Groomers have to assess the condition of the coat and decide if the dog can endure the task of de-matting. Often owners express disappointment when the coat must be stripped but understand what is in the best interest of their beloved pet. And truthfully owners are unaware of the condition their GoldenDoodle's coat is in.
