Prestressed Concrete Design - 7 - Stresses with Force-in-the-Tendon Approach

This is a video lecture for Prestressed Concrete Design. This video goes through using the force-in-the-tendon approach for finding stresses and deflections and prestressed concrete members. The approach can be used with (1) gross sections, (2) short- and long-term net sections with short- and long-term transformed sections, or (3) short- and long-term transformed sections; all three procedures are discussed in this video. Prestress losses are found in this module using the PCI Design Handbook (7th Edition) approach. The PCI Multiplier Approach for finding long-term deflections is also discussed.
