INDIA Bloc ‘Boycott of Anchors’ is ‘Emergency 2.0’: CM Himanta Biswa Sarma brings up 1974 Emergency

The BJP leaders attacked I.N.D.I.A alliance after the latter announced to boycott debates of 14 TV anchors. Assam CM Himanta Biswa Sarma tweeted," First the INDIA Alliance attacked Sanatan Dharma and now the press. One by one, every institution that represents Bharat is being systematically targeted by the Ghamandiya Alliance." Union sports minister Anurag Thakur said, " The steps that the INDI alliance have taken against the media is emergency 2.O." "This shows that they do not believe in democracy...,” he added. Union minister Jyotiraditya Scindia also slammed the opposition's alliance over 'Sanatan' dharma. A day after the first I.N.D.I.A Bloc coordination committee meeting on September 13, the sub-group on media has issued a TV news anchors whose debates to be boycotted by the opposition leaders.
