WEST SIDE STORY B'way '80

In honor of the 60th anniversary of "West Side Story," excerpts from the 1980 Broadway revival, shot during the final weeks of the run. This was the last Broadway revival of "West Side Story" that director/choreographer Jerome Robbins supervised closely, and it also employed the original design and orchestration. Debbie Allen (Anita), Josie de Guzman (Maria) and Hector Jaime Mercado (Bernardo) are still in the company; the replacement Tony is John Sloman. "Dance at the Gym," "America," "Somewhere" and ballet, "A Boy Like That."
