Dabls MBAD African Bead Museum in Detroit is currently faced with being demolished. Thanks to community activists led by Bryce Detroit and support from City Council President Mary Sheffield, the demolition was temporarily halted.
Despite the ongoing "Grand River Alley" project by Olayami Dabls, the museum was fenced off and prepped for demolition, sparking outrage.
Following a viral Instagram post by Bryce Detroit, supporters gathered on the site during the scheduled time of demolition. This video captures a fraction of the support that was present during this peaceful protest.
