Exploring a V-1 Missile Launch Site in Normandy!!! | History Traveler Episode 291

Following the Allied invasion of Normandy on June 6, 1944, Hitler and the Nazis unleashed a weapon of vengeance on Britain in the form of the V-1 flying bomb. Nicknamed the "buzz bomb" or "doodlebug" by the Allies, the V-1 was an early version of the cruise missile. In this episode, we're exploring one of the launch sites of this weapon that was discovered by the 8th Infantry Regiment of the 4th Infantry Division on their drive to Cherbourg.
