Shared Bedroom Ideas - IKEA Home Tour (Episode 306)

Gabriella Parra is an artist/photographer who splits her time between her photography studio and an affordable apartment with her family. Gabriella and her daughter Luna share a bedroom, and her biggest struggle has been finding affordable ideas to accommodate both of their needs. The Home Tour Squad wants to show this family that, even with a limited budget, they can completely transform their shared bedroom into a functional and cozy space that feels like home.

For Luna, the Squad creates a cozy loft above Gabriella’s bed by incorporating FLISAT shelves along the top of the SVÄRTA bunk bed- the perfect place to display books and toys. The Squad finds a place for everything using the flexible TROFAST storage system. The MARIETORP, RIBBA, and FISKBOA frames create a dynamic gallery wall for displaying Gabriella’s art collection. Paired with the KNAPPA pendant lamp, the décor adds depth and interest to the room.  

Gabriella believes that home is the most important place for a family, and is thrilled with the shared bedroom ideas the Squad brought into her home. The result is a more inviting space that has finally become a sanctuary for this hardworking mom and her family.
