Description: Grayson Allen burst onto the scene in the National Championship game in 2015, he came off the bench for Duke and his energy and scoring ability was a big factor in Duke's Championship win.
Since then Allen went on to his Sophomore season and took a huge jump in scoring, previously averaging 4.1 PPG in his Freshmen year, he averaged 21.6 PPG in his Sophomore season. This was even more impressive considering he had the projected #1 pick on his team, Brandon Ingram.
Allen's a great athlete with a terrific 3-point touch, adding his relentless ability to drive to the rim makes him a dangerous scoring option. The first thing I noticed about him, and what made me a fan, was his aggression and emotion, he's passionate and he's not afraid to show it. This has put him in the spotlight for the wrong reasons at times, and people have labelled him as the next "Duke Villian", similar to what Christian Laettner was. But that makes me more of a fan, he flat out battles out there and gives it everything he's got, and that irritates people. He is constantly described as "fearless", "a competitor" and as Coach K says, a Warrior.
