"Ants and Kings: Part 1: Kings": Emeralds from Mananjary, Madagascar

I'm happy to invite you to discover a new field video on "Field Gemology by Vincent Pardieu", in this short video you will discover the remote emerald deposit located near Mananjary on the Eastern coast of Madagascar. This deposit was discovered in the 1970's by Jeannot Andrianjafy from the "Quartz" company. Since that period it is worked by this family. During a field expedition in March 2018 to collect samples for the "Bahrain Institute for Pearls & Gemstones (DANAT)" we were lucky to visit the deposit and meet the Andrianjafy family who were nice to share with us the history of that deposit.
